Text Message Terms

These terms cover text messages (SMS) sent by Vindex Law, PC, 235 East High Street, Suite 102, Jefferson City, MO 65101.

Program description

Vindex Law, PC sends text messages to prospective and current clients who have asked us to. Messages relate to your own inquiry or legal matter: appointment and court date reminders, scheduling, requests for documents or information, and replies to questions you have asked us. We do not send marketing or promotional texts.

How you agree to receive texts

We only text you if you have given us your consent directly, either by checking the box on our Text Message Sign-Up page (vindexlaw.com/text-messages) or by telling a member of our staff that we may text you. The box is never checked for you, and the form can be sent without it.

Consent is not a condition

Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchase or legal representation. You can hire us without ever receiving a text.

Message frequency

Message frequency varies depending on your matter. You will typically hear from us around appointments, court dates, and when we need something from you.

Message and data rates

Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan. Vindex Law, PC does not charge for text messages.

Opt-out

Reply STOP to any message to opt out. You will receive one final message confirming that you have been unsubscribed, and we will not text you again. You can also call us at 573-638-8529 and ask us to stop. To start again later, reply START.

Carrier liability

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery depends on your carrier and your device and is not guaranteed.

Non-sharing of opt-in data

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, excluding aggregators and providers of the Text Message services. Please do not text us about the details of your case

Text messaging is not a secure channel. Please do not send confidential or sensitive details about your situation by text, and do not assume that a text creates an attorney-client relationship. It does not. If we need confidential information from you, we will arrange a more appropriate way to receive it.

Changes

If we change these terms, we will update this page and the effective date above.
